About the engagement

TerraceFarming is an India-focused smart-growing platform for balcony gardens, terraces, and small plots. The product combines crop guidance, plant-health support, organic supplies, and a member experience for growers who want clear daily actions instead of generic gardening advice.

We work directly with the founders and product team on the public platform, internal tooling, and the engineering work behind the product experience. The engagement is active and founder-led, with a shared backlog and fast feedback loops.

The product experience

The live platform connects the grower’s journey from setup to harvest:

• A soil-mix calculator for pot size, coco-peat, compost, and soil ratios
• Season-aware crop planning, variety guidance, and visual growth timelines
• Plant-age reminders for watering, feeding, and pest control
• Photo-based plant problem intake with an initial AI-assisted read and expert backup
• Organic product discovery and recommendations tied to the grower’s needs
• Member plans with crop guidance, photo check-ups, alerts, and product benefits

What Abhishree Labs contributes

Our work spans the public web platform, the Smart Assistant product layer, and internal tools used to support product operations. That includes frontend and backend implementation, founder-prioritised roadmap work, farmer onboarding flows, and the engineering needed to keep product content and operational data moving together.

Architecture and technology

The platform uses a Next.js and TypeScript frontend with Tailwind CSS and Shadcn/UI, backed by FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Alembic, and PostgreSQL on Supabase. It also includes an Expo / React Native mobile direction, with the frontend on Vercel and the backend on Render.

How we work together

Slack-based async communication, weekly check-ins, and a shared backlog the team can update directly. Decisions are made fast — usually in the same thread the question was raised in.
